Description

The orientation of the local chemical industry towards future-proof "high-tech standards" sets high logistical requirements with increasing transport volumes. In order to improve logistics standards, the Burghausen Business Development Corporation (Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Burghausen mbH) has therefore been working since 2005 on the construction of a public freight transport centre or freight transport terminal for combined transport, or CT terminal for short. This has improved the connection of the Bavarian chemical triangle by rail to the seaports on the North Sea and in southern Europe.
